The Bauer troll is a co-production with Acne Film to sell a film concept in an environment inspired by John Bauer’s images.

- Since I am a great fan of John Bauer’s aesthetics, this project was extra challenging. The entire Swedish population has grown up with his images and that means that one must live up to their expectations. I wanted to make a troll that was faithful to the original but at the same time create the presence and a feeling of a troll that lives and breathes like a real being, despite being animated.
